Polynucleotides treatment utilises DNA fragments extracted from salmon to stimulate positive & anti-ageing changes in the skin.

How Do Polynucleotides Work?

You might notice small bumps on your skin where the product is injected as well as swelling. These will go away within a few hours but might last longer for some people.
Please remember not to carry out any other facial treatments for the next 72 hours. Try not to touch or wash your face for 4 hours after the treatment.

When and how often should I get Polynucleotides?
You can have Polynucleotides at any age, and winter is the best time since it's important to avoid sun exposure after treatment. While even one syringe of Polynucleotides can be beneficial, we suggest a series of at least 3 treatments, with each spaced 3 weeks apart.
When will I see the Polynucleotides results?
You'll start seeing the first signs of improvement about 7-10 days after your initial treatment, with the full effects becoming visible in approximately 3-4 weeks. This is when we suggest scheduling your second and subsequent treatments.
How long do Polynucleotides last?
Polynucleotides work differently compared to hyaluronic-based skin boosters and dermal fillers. Instead of providing a temporary boost in collagen and elastin or filling the skin with temporary products, polynucleotides trigger the regeneration of fibroblasts - the primary cells in the skin's structure. While ageing continues, the treated areas experience a reversal in the ageing process.
Can I combine polynucleotides treatment with other treatments?
Yes, definitely. In fact, we often recommend it for the best results. We commonly mix polynucleotides treatment with dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, RadioFrequency Microneedling, or Profhilo because we've noticed that combining treatments leads to better outcomes.
How long does it take to recover from polynucleotides treatment?
Patients generally resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. Regarding aftercare, it's recommended to avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours and refrain from laser treatments or excessive heat for three weeks. SPF should be diligently applied for two to three weeks, and exposure to sunlight should be avoided.
Who shouldn't get polynucleotides?
While most people can use polynucleotides without any problems, they're not suitable for vegans because they come from fish. Even though they're purified, so allergic reactions are rare, people with seafood allergies can still safely have them. There have been no reported allergic reactions in clinical trials. But, if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, you shouldn't use polynucleotides.
What happens during a Polynucleotides treatment?
Before the treatment, a numbing cream might be put on the patient's skin, especially if there are lots of injections. Depending on where it's needed, the polynucleotides can be injected in two ways. The first way uses very small needles, which might leave tiny bumps on the skin for a few hours. Or, a blunt-tipped tube called a cannula might be used to spread the product. The whole process usually takes around 20-30 minutes.
